The Bonus Army - Negative Outlooks Swamp Green Press

The Bonus Army - Negative Outlooks

I'd like to start off by saying The Bonus Army is extremely underrated.
Not sure if it will be possible to find more variants of this but i'll definitely try.
Ten straight songs of in your face negative hardcore is the only reason you need to give this band a listen. They no doubt bring their own sound to hardcore and prove it in this ten track 7"
Pressing Info foools!: 1st Press on Swamp Green /229 from Arrest Records.

The Carrier - No Love Can Save Me Solid Grey

The Carrier - No Love Can Save Me

Fell in love with this band a very long time ago, so once I actually started to get serious about collecting records and realized sitting on my ass in my free time and searching for more would be a daily thing I needed one of these, not the hardest things to find but not extremely easy and not even worth much but the EP has three amazing songs that I listen to over and over. If you can grab one for under $10ppd it's a definite great pick up.

Defeater - Lost Ground EP Solid White

Defeater - Lost Ground EP

Got this awhile back off Bridge 9 when i was buying records every now and then just to collect (not knowing how big it was yet) This is the solid white 3rd press out of /1000. I've always loved white vinyl. The EP rocks from the beginning of side A all the way to the second 7"s side D, but then again most of everything ever put out by the band has been amazing and never seems to upset.

Rev/Waves Split Black

Rev/Waves Split 7"
One of the Have Heart Demo 2003's I bought off a guy on dead format gave this to me for free. Never heard of the band but took a listen to the labeled waves side and it wasn't the worst thing i've ever heard, when trying to look up the band i pretty much found out it was a small time thing that never got to be anything huge. No pressing info on this but i'm sure it's a 1 time press that was done by the 2 bands.
What I found to be cool was this:

Trapped Under The Ice - Stay Cold 7" Collection (Unfinished)

Trapped Under Ice - Stay Cold
I bought this originally from a guy off of deadformat (Willbratt) and he was a really great guy and really fair on his prices for these and i grabbed them before anyone else tried to split the collection he had apart. So in all I have nine of these and i'm missing what i think is SEVEN more.. and i thought nine was too much. One of the better 7"s released by a band stay cold leaves me with goosebumps and wanting more from the band; although they already have a good amount of other stuff it'll be sad to know we'll have to wait for them a couple years while they take a break from the band. TUI's lyrics are unmatchable by most hardcore bands today in my personal opinion. STAY COLD

The Story So Far - What You Don't See Tour Cover

The Story So Far 'What You Don't See'

Picked this up from a guy off Dead Format and I just want to say right away I have not gone into any research on the pressing info for this, but i love this album and it was a easy buy for $30 because of what they are currently going for on the internet. I'm not sure about the different colors for the tour variant because I think I saw one plain white, and one clear with red splatter so im extremely confused on the pressing info and the different variants they made. This album does NOT beat Under Soil and Dirt but it definitely lived up to my expectations, I'm happy to see the band didn't go to off from how they sound and are sticking to their roots.

Mellowhype - Blackenedwhite

Mellowhype 'Blackenedwhite'

Decided to switch it up and put up a rape LP. I'm not 100% sure on the pressing info on this but I think this is a repress done by Fat Possum Records after OFWGKTA got popular, not a giant die hard fan of OF like most of their fans but i love this album, Hodgy Beats is one of the more talented rapers in Odd Future and truly shows that on this album. F666 The Police is easily one of my favorite songs on this album.

Death Before Dishonor - Friends Family Forever Black/Gold Splatter Split

Death Before Dishonor 'Friends Family Forever

Found this on eBay from a guy selling this a too low of a price, before buying i was pretty worried as to the condition of the record or the sleeve but because of the low price i took a chance and was not disappointed. DBD is one of the first hardcore bands I ever listened to and is one I will never forget. Easy to listen to on a daily basis and especially while working out. This album is amazing from beginning to end.

Alpha & Omega - Devils Bed 2nd Press Clear!

Alpha & Omega 'Devils Bed'

I got this from a guy I follow on instagram that was selling a bunch of his collection for his own reasons. I'm not sure if he would be upset if I used his name so i'll just leave it at that. I grabbed this and Rush of Hope from True Colors from him for $20ppd together and hadn't seen one of these yet. I know they come in a variety of colors and i've seen one on eBay (that's still currently up and will hopefully be mine) that has a Ice Cube cover, which I am a huge fan of Ice Cube.. Continuing on this is obviously Clear and is a second press from 6131 Records and out of /400. There's I believe like 7 more normal cover (different color though) variants which you can see on 6131 disco site.

Released in July of 2008, Devils Bed brings a interesting sound to hardcore with a grungey overblown style, similar to Blacklisted's 'Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God' album. Besides those awesome wailing vocals you get some head banging metallic hardcore instrumentals to back it up.

In other words: This will bring living room moshing to a entirely new level.

Terror - Hard Lessons

Terror 'Hard Lessons'

I picked this up at Terrors show at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago, Illinois with H2O, Backtrack & Code Orange Kids. Browsing the merch tables I saw they had this for $5 and grabbed it and bought it, then watched the merch guy throw one to my friend for free.. Regardless that I had to pay for it and my friend didn't I was happy i got it, features 2 songs of the LP 'Live By The Code',  "Hard Lessons" is easily my favorite song of the LP and is why i dont regret buying this. Not a must have but definitely worth buying for $5!

Clear: 1st Press (/1770)

Wolf Whistle - MA Glory

Wolf Whistle 'MA Glory'

To start off, I am a HUGE Have Heart & Pat Flynn fan (You will see this is true in later posts) and when Have Heart broke up like most of the people in hardcore it was an upsetting time. I occasionally would check to see if Pat was in a new band and I knew he would be sooner or later, someone like him doesn't just dropout like that regardless of what life throws at you. I found out about Wolf Whistle a few years ago and when I saw they had music that could be downloaded I dropped whatever I was doing to get it and listen to every song multiple times. My favorite thing about MA Glory is just how it sounds, when I say that i mean I like the sound of the feedback behind the vocals and instruments and the DIY sound that this record brings to your ears. It's definietly a great listen and no doubt brought a smile to my face listening to it. I actually sat in a chair in front of speakers and did nothing but just listen. I hope one day Have Heart plays one more show, or one more tour, whenever and if ever they do. I will be there.

Go find one of these and buy it.

Step Aside - Reaching Out

Step Aside 'Reaching Out'

I had actually received the frost (clear) 7" for free I think from this guy Will Bratt (out of Canada) who's a great guy, I bought most of the 'Stay Cold' 7"s off him; you'll see all those on a different post on a different day. I had never heard of Step Aside before but listened to the 7" and liked them a lot, enough to pick up the black and green off eBay.
The pressing info for these three are as follows:
Black: 1st Press (/225)
Green: 1st Press (/150)
Frost: 2nd Press (/200)

Fire & Ice Gods & Devils

Fire & Ice 'Gods & Devils'
A pretty good EP put out in '09 from F&I.
This is a 1st press on black out of /350.
These are actually fairly hard to find, there's another up on eBay currently that I plan to grab when the listing ends in a couple days. The same guy selling his F&I S&F pressing of Not of This Earth is selling his entire collection and actually has a lot that I want including all of these except the test press, so who knows maybe i'll be able to get a lot of these from him!

From beginning to end man this EP rules. If you're looking for new music and somehow haven't heard of F&I you need to check them out.

Fire & Ice Not of This Earth

Fire & Ice 'Not of This Earth'
Everyone has their own opinions, but this is easily my favorite album to come out of the 2012 year. Fire & Ice open up this album with some of the catchiest instrumentals i've heard out of a new-ish album and I think that's what made me love it so much is how well the album starts of, you go onto great songs like "Helpless", "Numb" & "Smash Your Crown". Another must have and easy find currently. I got this with the Terror 'Live By The Code' white LP from Reaper Records. This is on blue vinyl (/700) and is a first press.

There's some other pressings (some easy some hard to find) but i found a guy with the S&F (Sound & Fury (for those who don't know)) press that i believe is /30 offered to sell it for $20, which is something you just cant pass up. Hopefully he still has it.

If you haven't bought this album yet, DO IT!

Terror Live By The Code

Terror 'Live By The Code' is certainly another great album from these hardcore legends. I grabbed this off Reaper Records the day before it was released and it actually got to me at a fast rate (bravo reaper) there wasn't much left on white (/200) and I haven't checked but i'm sure this is sold out by now, I think I'm going to grab another color in the coming week or two. A must have and what I believe to be some of Terrors best work (behind KOTF of course).

"Hard lessons, I had my share. Can't learn from mistakes when I don't fucking care."

Cruel Hand MAN! Prying Eyes

Cruel Hand 'Prying Eyes' on the oh so beautiful classic black!
Easily one of my favorite bands and albums from the 00's along with the album containing "Dead Weight" which i wouldn't say is on my top favorite songs but it's definitely a song that puts my head bobbing and foot tapping skills at an all-time high.
I realized (and you will too) that I have a lot of bridge 9 records, I did this to get a base to my collection and go from there considering i've only been collecting for about 2 months now, but to continue on I was more than excited to get this on the rarest press (/200) there's also a solid purple (/500) and a purple and grey swirl (/1300) and a second press on orange with teal (/1000).
All yet again records I plan to have later down the road.

New Found Glory Tip of The Iceberg 7"s

Here we have New Found Glory's 'Tip of The Iceberg' on a banana yellow with the Gorilla Biscuits rip off cover. GB is easily one of my favorite artists and once I saw this variant existed I was destined that I would find it and own it. I found this on eBay and probably paid a tiny bit more than what it's actually worth but I didn't want to take a risk on not being able to find this again for awhile considering this is only out of /500 so it can still come up a lot but yet again, I wasn't going to take any chances on missing it.

This came out in early 2008 and brought a pretty sweet hardcore-punk feeling to the 3 songs on this EP that can be compared to Catalyst's "Intro" personally would rate the vocals on this of Jordan Pundik his best i've ever heard. Everything this guy does is amazing, if you don't like NFG we cannot be friends.

Here's the white with red and blue splatter (what I like to call the "MERICA!" pressing). Both of these are off Bridge 9 and this (MERICA!) pressing is still available in the B9 store for $3. Its out of a huge /2500 this will probably be there forever..

Other variants of this are on classic black (/2000) (still available), the picture disc (/2500) (still available) and red/black splatter (/1300) (oop) and blue splatter (/100) (oop) I'll probably grab the ones that are still available in the near future and hopefully find the other two on forums or eBay for cheap.

H2O Nothing To Prove Clear Red.

Hello! I've decided to start a blog to post my records where I can talk about the band and the album and not bother people on my Facebook, Twitter or Instagram putting up pictures of records every week! So for now I'll be putting up all my current records and kind of just go over them and its pressing info kinda quick with pictures like this H2O one; then once done I'll actually go over a ton about the records such as any possible etchings on the record, any inserts with it and so on.

So here we have H2O's 'Nothing To Prove' released on Bridge 9 Records on 05/27/08
The clear red is a 3rd Press from Bridge 9 out of /746

This album is truly beyond fantastic, which is expected from this artist. H2O took its core structure for this album and infused it with hooks and melodies that echo the melodic leanings found on the Gorilla Biscuits' seminal album Start Today Lyrically anyone who's anyone knows who Toby Morse is and his legendary vocals and you will notice he has always taken risks and branched out into subject matter that isn't often found on hardcore records; this is fantastic, strictly because most of it avoids the same cliché subject matter most songs in hardcore don't address.
H2O is a band people in hardcore hold dear to their hearts.

Hopefully I will find more variants of this soon.
