Dead End Path - DWBU - 1st Press Clear Green /550

Dead End Path - Death Walks Beside Us

Where do I start?
I'll start with where I got this; I grabbed this off ebay.. like most of my shit.
Pretty cheap, but also at what it goes for at about $15? If i remember correctly.
I didnt really know people knew about them to be honest. I heard this when it first came out and felt like no one really knew about this band..
That quickly changed.

Rage Against The Machine - People of The Sun

Rage Against The Machine - People of The Sun EP

This is literally the only 10" I own and my turntable doesn't even spin at the speed needed for this.
I have zero idea about the pressing info for this, i got this when i went to my local hot topic to pick up the NFG sticks and stones hot topic exclusive press. Nothing special, at least that i know of. great band though!

Minor Threat Late 00's Out of Step 12"

Not much to say besides the fact this band and album holds more to the straight edge and hardcore community than anything else. This isn't anything special.. just a late 00's press you can find anywhere. Great album, one of the greats.

Trash Talk - Eyes & Nines - 1st Press /1400

I cant remember where i got this.. was it hot topic? or off their big cartel? I honestly cannot remember.. Im pretty sure it was off their website, strictly because i've never bought a record from hot topic except the NFG i posted recently. I dont know, who cares. Im not a big Trash Talk fan, just got it to have something from them and this is more of my favorite from them. The pressing info was hard for me to get, not that i looked hard really, but i saw some guy selling one and he had the info on it.

This is the what i believe to be 2nd press Hot Topic "exclusive". Great album and also and early one from back in the day. Every song on this is amazing and this is no doubt the best album ever released by NFG. I still want ISHC, and Captain Straight Edge back. COME ON! It can happen!

Terror - One With The Underdogs

Just got finished with a long day and long night so I thought I would top it off with a post or two.

I won this off ebay for cheap and I assume most but KOTF is cheap and easy to get for low prices regardless of how limited some of them are, as this will prove that. Besides Keepers of The Faith, this is one of my more memorable albums I keep close to my heart. I got into hardcore around 8th grade first hearing Stick To Your Guns and Terror so it's almost like a "never forget where it started" type saying for this album. I guess a lot of people dont really like Terror. Well fuck you terror rules.

Foundation - When The Smoke Clears W/R/B Tri-Color /1000

Foundation - When The Smoke Clears

I'm really trying my best to post as many of the records I already have on here and catch up so i can be to the point where I post records the day I get them but I feel like i buy more records than I post so I'm doing my best to finish with what I have on my computer (pictures)

Foundation's When The Smoke Clears is actually a great LP i was worried they would do something so much more awful than Hang Your Head, which is a great 7"/12" (Depending on which variant you have). So I was extremely happy to listen through this multiple times and be happy with what it came out to be. Great LP 4/5 stars easy.

Trapped Under Ice - Secrets of The World

A lot of people dont like this band, or this album.
You're probably expecting me to say "Well I love this album" like i've done in most of my post. To be honest this album is the worst thing ever put out by TUI. It's terrible. This was the LP released after Stay Cold, probably one of my most favorite 7"s and it's hard to believe a band can go from so good to so bad. I think there's a total of 2 songs I like on this entire LP (See god, and believe). You could probably image what it was like for me to listen to this for the very first time ever. Getting through the first two songs and being amazed and then completely let down the rest of the way through. I love this band but not this album. Probably will only get the rest of the variants for incredibly low prices if it's possible.

Cruel Hand - Lock & Key

The LP before Lock & Key (Prying Eyes) was a gift from the hardcore gods something so great is so hard to replicate but also make new and this is evidence of that. Lock & Key is a good album, but not great. It's a lot more mature and still has the foundation of hardcore but doesn't seem to give that extra push to make it what it could have been. I love this album still and have it on white vinyl on the way. a good 3.5/5 stars for this and a good pick up for anyone.

Internation Superheros of Hardcore!
TAKIN' IT OVA
Another fun album in hardcore, less in your face like Cockpunch's Attack Album, but definitely its a fun album to listen to that just brings up ongoing problems in hardcore like sellouts and how everything in hardcore seems to be a fashion show and screamo needing to end (agreed). Its a great album. Maybe one day New Found Glory will come back and be ISHC, I miss Captain Straight Edge

Yay! My first June post of 2013! I wanted to do a fun one one this very nice day in Chicago!
Cockpunch's "Attack" The color of the vinyl for this record reminds me very much of a pizza, sounds like a pop-punk kids best friend right? Too bad the music on the record wouldn't be the best thing for one of those kids ears. Lead singer Vincent Bennett (Also known for The Acacia Strain) was apart of this side project and actually made one of the more relatable hardcore records (to me). The entire album is about pretty much any on going problem in hardcore or just in the world, from the sluts to edge-breakers; to drinking and driving and keyboard warriors (internet trolls). I love this fucking album and i know it's out there on pink vinyl and i want it more than anything.

Trapped Under Ice - Big Kiss Goodnight - Red

God damn I love this band!
Their demos, EPs, LPs.. it's all those perfect, this was a great addition to their discography as a band and easily deserves recognition because of this, i cant believe this band is breaking up, what a shame.

A very straight forward album, raw, uncut and pure hardcore from KLU

True Colors - Rush of Hope - Red

Easily the greatest thing about this album, let alone the artist, is how vintage everything sounds.
The LP takes a road that sounds like the late 80's east coast youth crew type direction.
Plenty of vintage chords used throughout the album and vintage sounding vocals; this album is hard-hitting and worth every penny. Bought this off some guy on Instagram for cheap considering it's still available on the webstore, at least it was the last time I checked

Naysayer - No Remorse 2nd Press Red

Now this is an awesome 7"
Like i've said before Naysayer is a great addition to hardcore and I would put them right with Alpha & Omega. No Remorse is pretty much just like the Down But Not Out 7" but and extremely better version. Naysayer, including in this EP, always brings a lot of mosh-type-parts to their music with a TON of slow crawling breakdowns (which no one can ever get enough of).
Naysayer is doing it right.

Naysayer - Down But Not Out

I love Naysayer as a band.
They bring a great sound to hardcore and are always great to see live, this isn't the best 7" they've put out but still it's.. ya know.. Naysayer?! Although "Down But Not Out" is the greatest and my most favorite song they've put out when this was released, just a little before their LP "Laid To Rest"

It's hard to find fault as the whole general band adequately portrays the genre of pop-punk in such an honest and energetic approach. I love the entire EP.

Champion - Promises Kept Record Release

I'm a sucker for special covers, especially screen printed covers like this one. As a screen printer myself that's what I like so much about this one, including the fact it's the original mix, but we'll get into that later. Easily one of my favorite records to come out of hardcore, champion hit it hard releasing Promises Kept and left a mark forever in Hardcore with this album.

A-Side

B-Side

The lyric insert.

Like i said i love special covers, but this is what makes this one of my favorite records i own.
The original mix on this one isn't to far off from what most people know but it's still not as well mixed as the 2nd mix that was done with the band. I played it once just to enjoy it on a rainy day and pull it out every once and while and admire it. Love the album.
51 have the Bridge Nine logo on the back. 99 have no Bridge Nine logo on the back. When they were screen printing the backs of the covers, the ink gummed up around the B9 logo so they proceeded w/ the rest without it.

Gravemaker - Ghosts Among Men Clear Green w/ Black Smoke

First off, I'm a huge gravemaker fan, love this band and this album and everything else they've ever released. Ghosts Among Men i went into just as i do with every single new record that comes out, thinking it was going to suck. I always feel most LP's released after a bands first will be terrible strictly because that is what happens most of the time. I personally think this album is better than Bury Me At Sea; I'm not entirely sure but my favorite song of this LP and by the band is "Never Be Like You", which is the 12th and final song on the record.

"Dont say sorry for this or that, how you fucked up so bad..

The Bonus Army - Negative Outlooks Swamp Green Press

The Bonus Army - Negative Outlooks

I'd like to start off by saying The Bonus Army is extremely underrated.
Not sure if it will be possible to find more variants of this but i'll definitely try.
Ten straight songs of in your face negative hardcore is the only reason you need to give this band a listen. They no doubt bring their own sound to hardcore and prove it in this ten track 7"

The Carrier - No Love Can Save Me Solid Grey

The Carrier - No Love Can Save Me

Fell in love with this band a very long time ago, so once I actually started to get serious about collecting records and realized sitting on my ass in my free time and searching for more would be a daily thing I needed one of these, not the hardest things to find but not extremely easy and not even worth much but the EP has three amazing songs that I listen to over and over. If you can grab one for under $10ppd it's a definite great pick up.

Defeater - Lost Ground EP Solid White

Defeater - Lost Ground EP

Got this awhile back off Bridge 9 when i was buying records every now and then just to collect (not knowing how big it was yet) This is the solid white 3rd press out of /1000. I've always loved white vinyl. The EP rocks from the beginning of side A all the way to the second 7"s side D, but then again most of everything ever put out by the band has been amazing and never seems to upset.

Rev/Waves Split Black

Rev/Waves Split 7"
One of the Have Heart Demo 2003's I bought off a guy on dead format gave this to me for free. Never heard of the band but took a listen to the labeled waves side and it wasn't the worst thing i've ever heard, when trying to look up the band i pretty much found out it was a small time thing that never got to be anything huge. No pressing info on this but i'm sure it's a 1 time press that was done by the 2 bands.
What I found to be cool was this:

Trapped Under The Ice - Stay Cold 7" Collection (Unfinished)

Trapped Under Ice - Stay Cold
I bought this originally from a guy off of deadformat (Willbratt) and he was a really great guy and really fair on his prices for these and i grabbed them before anyone else tried to split the collection he had apart. So in all I have nine of these and i'm missing what i think is SEVEN more.. and i thought nine was too much. One of the better 7"s released by a band stay cold leaves me with goosebumps and wanting more from the band; although they already have a good amount of other stuff it'll be sad to know we'll have to wait for them a couple years while they take a break from the band. TUI's lyrics are unmatchable by most hardcore bands today in my personal opinion. STAY COLD

The Story So Far - What You Don't See Tour Cover

The Story So Far 'What You Don't See'

Picked this up from a guy off Dead Format and I just want to say right away I have not gone into any research on the pressing info for this, but i love this album and it was a easy buy for $30 because of what they are currently going for on the internet. I'm not sure about the different colors for the tour variant because I think I saw one plain white, and one clear with red splatter so im extremely confused on the pressing info and the different variants they made. This album does NOT beat Under Soil and Dirt but it definitely lived up to my expectations, I'm happy to see the band didn't go to off from how they sound and are sticking to their roots.

Mellowhype - Blackenedwhite

Mellowhype 'Blackenedwhite'

Decided to switch it up and put up a rape LP. I'm not 100% sure on the pressing info on this but I think this is a repress done by Fat Possum Records after OFWGKTA got popular, not a giant die hard fan of OF like most of their fans but i love this album, Hodgy Beats is one of the more talented rapers in Odd Future and truly shows that on this album. F666 The Police is easily one of my favorite songs on this album.

Death Before Dishonor - Friends Family Forever Black/Gold Splatter Split

Death Before Dishonor 'Friends Family Forever

Found this on eBay from a guy selling this a too low of a price, before buying i was pretty worried as to the condition of the record or the sleeve but because of the low price i took a chance and was not disappointed. DBD is one of the first hardcore bands I ever listened to and is one I will never forget. Easy to listen to on a daily basis and especially while working out. This album is amazing from beginning to end.

Alpha & Omega - Devils Bed 2nd Press Clear!

Alpha & Omega 'Devils Bed'

I got this from a guy I follow on instagram that was selling a bunch of his collection for his own reasons. I'm not sure if he would be upset if I used his name so i'll just leave it at that. I grabbed this and Rush of Hope from True Colors from him for $20ppd together and hadn't seen one of these yet. I know they come in a variety of colors and i've seen one on eBay (that's still currently up and will hopefully be mine) that has a Ice Cube cover, which I am a huge fan of Ice Cube.. Continuing on this is obviously Clear and is a second press from 6131 Records and out of /400. There's I believe like 7 more normal cover (different color though) variants which you can see on 6131 disco site.

Released in July of 2008, Devils Bed brings a interesting sound to hardcore with a grungey overblown style, similar to Blacklisted's 'Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God' album. Besides those awesome wailing vocals you get some head banging metallic hardcore instrumentals to back it up.

In other words: This will bring living room moshing to a entirely new level.

Terror - Hard Lessons

Terror 'Hard Lessons'

I picked this up at Terrors show at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago, Illinois with H2O, Backtrack & Code Orange Kids. Browsing the merch tables I saw they had this for $5 and grabbed it and bought it, then watched the merch guy throw one to my friend for free.. Regardless that I had to pay for it and my friend didn't I was happy i got it, features 2 songs of the LP 'Live By The Code',  "Hard Lessons" is easily my favorite song of the LP and is why i dont regret buying this. Not a must have but definitely worth buying for $5!

Wolf Whistle - MA Glory

Wolf Whistle 'MA Glory'

To start off, I am a HUGE Have Heart & Pat Flynn fan (You will see this is true in later posts) and when Have Heart broke up like most of the people in hardcore it was an upsetting time. I occasionally would check to see if Pat was in a new band and I knew he would be sooner or later, someone like him doesn't just dropout like that regardless of what life throws at you. I found out about Wolf Whistle a few years ago and when I saw they had music that could be downloaded I dropped whatever I was doing to get it and listen to every song multiple times. My favorite thing about MA Glory is just how it sounds, when I say that i mean I like the sound of the feedback behind the vocals and instruments and the DIY sound that this record brings to your ears. It's definietly a great listen and no doubt brought a smile to my face listening to it. I actually sat in a chair in front of speakers and did nothing but just listen. I hope one day Have Heart plays one more show, or one more tour, whenever and if ever they do. I will be there.

Go find one of these and buy it.

Step Aside - Reaching Out

Step Aside 'Reaching Out'

I had actually received the frost (clear) 7" for free I think from this guy Will Bratt (out of Canada) who's a great guy, I bought most of the 'Stay Cold' 7"s off him; you'll see all those on a different post on a different day. I had never heard of Step Aside before but listened to the 7" and liked them a lot, enough to pick up the black and green off eBay.
